Joe Burch

President and Chief Operating Officer

CB Construction Services President and COO Joe Burch began his career in construction at an early age, working in his family’s commercial general contracting business. He developed a passion not only for the physical construction of buildings, but also for the operational processes that make a project successful for the contractor, the owner, and the architect.

After graduating with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology, Joe worked as an assistant superintendent in the field and quickly moved up the company ranks. His territory soon expanded from the Kansas City area to most of the continental United States, focusing on retail, hospitality, multi-family, and fueling facilities. He held roles of increasing responsibility, including Superintendent, Project Manager, Operations Manager and Vice President at several construction companies before joining CB Construction Services as President and Chief Operating Officer in 2019.

In his current role, Joe supervises and manages all company operations. He is actively involved in each phase of the firm’s projects, from estimating through completion.  Understanding that the success of a project is largely determined in the planning stages, Joe is closely involved in every aspect of CB’s preconstruction process, regularly attending design meetings and working with the estimating department to prepare detailed and accurate budgets with value-engineered options if needed. 

His innovative approach to team building and maintaining healthy customer and associate relationships has earned him the trust of clients across the country.
